So I was recently sent this amazing striped tee from Pop Basic, a online boutique based in San Francisco that specialises in all basics. This tee is super comfy and a awesome staple to have in your wardrobe.

I recently saw one of my favourite bloggers, Sincerely Jules, style a tee similar to this one and I absolutely LOVED it. I wanted to take her styling of the outfit but then translate it into a daytime outfit as well. I think that the black oversized Lack of Colour Fedora give this look a really chic but effortless aspect. Since this portion of my outfit post is a “daytime” look, the Acne Pistol Boots really dress down the outfit compared to my second take on it.

Levis #501 and Acne

Levis cover page Levis-2 Levis-1 Levis-3 Levis-6 Levis-4 Levis-7 Levis-8

I have been slacking on the content and really haven’t gotten to show everyone all of the amazing things I have been accumulating over the past couple of months.

To start off, I got this amazing R13 leather jacket for my birthday in July. Since its going to be one of the last few days I will be able to wear it until I am back in SF in December, I want to take full advantage. Brisbane’s summers are so hot its almost hard to wear a sundress, let alone a leather biker jacket.

In August, I went down to Sydney to run (walk) the City to Surf. While I was there I couldn’t help but make a cheeky stop into Acne Studios. I LOVE their clothing and especially any leather product they make. I have had my eye on the Pistol boots for a year or so and thought since Acne doesn’t have that many stores in my near vicinity it was a good excuse to finally purchase these lovely ladies. I know they will be a wardrobe staple for years to come.

Ive also recently come into ownership of this lovely Alexander Wang top and Levis #501 shorts. Again who doesn’t love a good cut off or a signature white tee with an extra cool design? A little peekaboo skin never hurt anyone.

I hope that you all are loving the new site and I have some VERY exciting news to share with everyone next week!!!

Plus I may just start your weekend off with a bang tomorrow

Stay Tuned!!

I shot todays look with the amazingly talented Laura Brain. We did a cute little OOTD video also. Hope you love!

Photography by Grace Markham

Ok so basically, Grace is the most amazing photographer I have ever worked with. I had so much fun with this shoot. Grace made me feel comfortable and had the sickest ideas for shoot locations. Plus she hooked me up wit her friend and colleague, Jim Jirarnuttaru, to do the gorgeous beauty looks for each outfit. He does make up for High Fashion, Weddings, and basically anything you want. I loved his work.

You can view all of Grace’s work at:

I wanted to really play on the theme of #TheNewKatieEve by doing two completely different looks. This was to illustrate my two style personalities of Katie compared to Eve. This shoot literally and figuratively played on the second new theme of “Day” and “Night”.  I want to show my amazing readers how to take a daytime outfit and then translate that into a nighttime outfit. I know how annoying it is to be somewhere all day and want to go out but not know how to take those sometimes casual or work outfits and make them into something sexy or fun in a way that would look good out with your friends.

I am so excited for this new chapter of Katie Eve and really look forward to the long journey ahead!

Another amazing media addition to this post is the Video that the amazing Laura Brain shot of the behind the scenes of my shoot with Grace. Check it out below or you can view this on Laura’s website at:

Mombasa Rose Crop Top 1

I could start to see a glimmer of summer in the weather recently and I couldn’t think of a more perfect opportunity to rock some of the amazing new things I have purchased.
Before I started blogging I had more of a bohemian style. Even though I don’t tend to rock that look as much, I still love to dip into my past fashion inspirations from time to time. What better way to do that then with my amazing new vintage choker and these killer Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals?
The top is another one of the amazing pieces offered by Mombasa Rose in Milton, Queensland. You can find this item and many more at
For any of you that are obsessing over this choker as much as I am, my friend Geo of Peach State sells the most amazing accessories. For this necklace and much much more check out:
I know that I have been talking about my new site for some time now. I promise you all that the launch is creeping up on us! I am so excited for you all to see it.

The one thing that I love about living in Brisbane is the fact that I can continue to discover new boutiques and places to shop.
Mombasa Rose is a E-boutique based in Brisbane set on giving you the hottest trends straight to your doorstep. They recently contacted me in hopes of collaborating and I was more than happy to work with such an amazing e-boutique!
Mombasa Rose sent me this chic little tartan playsuit which I decided to style with some leather, denim, and leopard heels. I love the mixed print combination of tartan and leopard. I think it brings an outfit together with something extra special and unique. To finish this outfit off I threw on a chunky gold necklace.
Mombasa Rose will be featuring an exclusive interview with me on their blog along with some of the photos I took in their playsuit plus one other amazing piece that will be revealed next week. So head on over to their blog to check it out!

Chunky Knits X Emerald Earrings

This knit is apart of Witchery’s new FW14 collection, the whole collection is to die for. For everyone in the states, Witchery is basically like an Australian version of Zara with a bit of a heftier price-tag. I have also found that the quality of the clothing is just a tad bit better (Dont worry Zara, you are still my #1). These shoes are one of my new staples. They add a bit of spice to any outfit and a bonus is they are one of the most comfortable heels I have ever owned. Meaning, I can wear them out and not want to passout and die by the end of the night. Always a plus for me. Adam and I are having so much fun exploring our new neighbourhood when we take outfit photos. We find a new and beautiful street every time. I absolutely love it!

Isabel Marant X Equipment

I have made some serious purchases recently of animal print that included this equipment shirt and a few other things such as some fabulous shoes that will be showcased in the next outfit post! These shopping trips also included the to die for boyfriend shorts above and my new obsession, the Isabel Marant Burt sneakers. I have been wearing the boyfriend shorts almost every other day and the same goes for the sneakers. I have noticed my style in the last few weeks has transformed into more of a casual and sporty vibe. Since I have been extremely busy with school and work it has been a perfect fit for life as of recent. The beautiful background of these photos were taken in my amazing new neighbourhood, New Farm. Some of my favorite buildings in New Farm are old wool mills that have been refurbished on the inside to be modern apartments, but on the outside they still have the old bricks. They are my go to setting for a perfect outfit shoot.

The Final Katie Eve X Beginning Boutique Shoot

This is the last outfit post I did with the amazing girls at Beginning Boutique. Floral prints are one of my favorite this year and when I saw this adorable playsuit I knew I had to wear it. Another style staple that I always have in my life is a good black fedora. This was one at the BB office that really stood out to me.

Katie Eve X Beginning Boutique

Yesterday I did the most amazing shoot with the girls at Beginning Boutique. I had the privilege of viewing their new arrivals before even being released and got full reign of their entire stock! It was the most wonderful experience. The women there as well as the clothes are stylish and fun.
This is one of the three post that will be coming to Katie Eve with Beginning Boutique.

Three of Something + Rockstud Valentino

Photos by Adam Lambert
This outfit is really relaxed and perfect for a Sunday brunch or a casual day out with your boyfriend and/or girlfriends! I loved the scenery of this street. It had the most amazing Queenslanders (the style of houses in Brisbane) and the minute Adam and I drove by it, I knew that it would be a perfect setting for this outfit.
This amazing top by Three of Something has the most beautiful hem on the bottom of the shirt. I love a good ruffle and this top has it! Its flirty and girly. I just wanted to spin around in circles and swish it back and forth the whole time I was wearing it. You can buy this top at the wonderful, The French Peg in Paddington, Brisbane
or visit their site here: The French Peg
I have been hard out at school recently so I am sorry for the lack of posts but this week I am getting myself together and there will be much more outfits to see I promise!
I am wearing a exciting designer in a post in the VERY near future! Keep your eyes out for it people! Its will be AMAZING.
